Since its inception in 2024, the bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal has become an unmissable event in the FIA-FIM World Rally Raid Championship.
The round 2 of the 2026 championship will be held from 17 to 22 March, just after the Dakar Rally.
The third edition of the bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal is already underway: registration for the rally has been open since 21 November.

The bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal will start in Grândola, a town located 1.5 hours from Lisbon and host of the rally since 2024.
After a loop stage, the rally will head to Spain and the province of Extremadura. This will be followed by another loop around Badajoz, before returning to southern Portugal, in the Algarve region, an area never before visited by the rally.
After Grândola in 2024 and Lisbon in 2025, the finish line will be for the first time in Loulé, in the heart of the Algarve region between mountains and ocean, in the extreme south-west of Europe.

The bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal is the first Road to Dakar event of the 2026 season.
This event is an opportunity, before the Dakar 2027, to gain experience in driving/riding and race management in an event formatted to the same organisational standards. Depending on your category, the event will also enable you to potentially qualify or even win an entry for the Dakar 2027:
- Moto competitors : The bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal is one of the best opportunity to score points (8) before the selection of candidates for the Dakar 2027 in July 2026. You need to finish the race to score these 8 points.
- SSV competitors: you can validate your entry to the Dakar 2027 by winning the Road to Dakar challenge.
